honestly this spyder kit is a total game changer for the price. it cuts thru wood like butter and the quick change feature saves me so much time on the job site.
I’ve been using the Spyder 600887 for about a month now on a bathroom remodel project. Compared to the old Milwaukee set I had,
Just got these for a bathroom remodel and they cut through the studs like butter, definitely worth the cash.
I love how easy it is to swap out the saws with the arbor system they use! Honestly saved me so much time on my deck project, though the case is a bit bulky.
For the price point, the Spyder 600887 kit is hard to beat. I've used Milwaukee and Bosch in the past, and while those might stay sharp a tiny bit longer, the ease of plug removal on these Spyders is a total game changer for someone doing a lot of repeat cuts. I've done about 20 holes in 2x4s and a couple in thin sheet metal, and they're still going strong—great value for a DIYer or a light contractor.
works great for my needs. clean cuts and doesnt get stuck as much as my old set did.
You get a lot of sizes for what you pay and I was worried they'd feel cheap but they have a decent weight to them. Perfect for home repairs where you don't want to spend $150 on a pro kit.
Tbh I didn't think I'd care about the "rapid core eject" thing but it actually works lol. No more digging out wood scraps with a screwdriver for ten minutes, highly recommend!
They're okay for the price I guess but the bits are sharp at first and then I noticed the 2-inch one started dulling out faster than I expected after hitting some harder plywood. Good for light stuff but maybe not for heavy daily use.
Decent kit, but the pilot bit loosened up on me twice today. kida annoying but it gets the job done eventually.
I have mixed feelings about the Spyder kit; on one hand, the quick-change feature is brilliant and saves a lot of frustration, but on the other hand, the bi-metal steel seems a bit softer than my old Lenox set. If you're just doing occasional projects around the house, it's a solid 4 stars, but if you're drilling through metal all day, you might want something beefier. It's fine, just not "pro" grade in my opinion.
Waste of money for anyone on a real jobsite. Burnt through the teeth on the 7/8" bit in less than a week just cutting through standard junction boxes. The "easy eject" feature is a gimmick if the blade can't even finish the hole, so I'm returning these and going back to my old brand.
Honestly for the price you cant beat this kit, the quick change feature actually works and saves a lot of time.
Cuts through wood and plastic really cleanly!
I’ve used a lot of different brands over the years and this Spyder set is a solid B+. It's not quite industrial grade but for 90

The Milwaukee 2-9/16" Big Hawg Hole Saw is a durable and versatile tool best suited for professionals or serious DIYers who frequently drill through tough materials. Its higher price is justified by its longevity and clean cutting performance.
The VIKITON 8-inch hole saw is a budget-friendly option that performs well for lighter-duty tasks and occasional use, but might not withstand the rigors of heavy professional use. Its versatility makes it a worthwhile addition for DIY enthusiasts.
For DIYers and occasional users needing a versatile and affordable hole saw, the Koopi 1-1/2" model delivers satisfactory performance for its price. However, those requiring frequent use, heavy-duty cutting, or working with thick metals should explore higher-end options.
